My mother gave birth to Olia at the age of 45. The child was a gift from fate for her. Her mother rejoiced at her every new skill, every step, every word. She thanked God and fate for giving her such a treasure. Olia was a wonderful child. In her preschool years, she knew many poems and songs. When she entered the first grade, she enrolled in various clubs and enjoyed dancing, drawing, beading, attending drama and English classes.

But at the age of 9, Olia started losing weight, drinking a lot, became lethargic and lost her appetite. Her condition was only getting worse, and then her mother took her daughter to the clinic for tests on her own. There, Olia heard a terrible diagnosis – type 1 diabetes, severe form, glycemic control with a high risk of life. And since then, Olia's life has changed 100%. Constant monitoring of blood sugar levels more than 10 times a day, diet, meals on a schedule, insulin injections for each meal. Since the girl's pancreas did not fulfill its function, insulin had to be injected 5-6 times a day. 

Little by little, Olia's life began to improve. Everyone at school was understanding, and her classmates supported her in everything. Currently, Olia is in her third year of college studying to become a hairdresser and makeup artist. Her mother has done and is doing everything possible to ensure that her daughter does not have any serious complications. And, thank God, after 9 years of illness, she feels like a full-fledged child. Mom works as a saleswoman and raises her daughter on her own. She cannot constantly provide Olia with continuous glucose monitoring sensors, but she tries to buy sensors at least once every three months to allow the girl's fingers to heal. Olia needs help.
