Support for people affected by war

In March 2023, the project "Support for People Affected by War" was launched on the website of the Charitable Foundation "UBB" - dobro.ua - to raise funds to pay for humanitarian aid for internally displaced persons living in IDP shelters.

As of August 2023, the project was partially funded and, taking into account the needs of the Recovery Camp for children affected by the war and their mothers, we withdrew the amount of UAH 55,000.00 (fifty-five thousand).00 according to the Letter No. 0708/01 of 07.08.2023. Already on August 8, the funds were on the account of our foundation and we purchased art kits for the children in the camp, which were actually delivered on August 18, 2023. At that time, the camp was hosting a week-long stay for children and their mothers, with more than 60 children. All of these children are internally displaced or live in the frontline regions, which are constantly affected by Russian shelling. At the camp, professionals work with the children, organize their leisure time and therapeutic activities. Participation in the camp is absolutely free. The total budget for the purchase amounted to 55250.00 UAH, including funds from the UBB in the amount of 55000.00 UAH, the rest of the necessary funds were used from the budget of our Foundation.

In September, we withdrew another amount of 45097.00 (forty-five thousand ninety-seven) UAH 00 kopecks for the needs of internally displaced persons living in the shelter on the basis of the Rovesnyk (Lviv region) according to the Letter No. 0609/01 of 06.09.2023. Food was purchased on September 11, 2023 for 90 people living in the shelter. The food was delivered on October 5, 2023, with a slight delay in delivery.

According to the Letter No. 0310/02 of 03.10.2023, we withdrew the funds raised in the amount of 42395.50 (forty-two thousand three hundred and ninety-five) hryvnias and 50 kopecks for the purchase of cleaning products for internally displaced persons in the shelter based on the Poltava Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center "Ecologist". About 80 people permanently live in the center, including 20 children under 18 and more than 20 women and people with disabilities. The goods were delivered on October 16, 2023.

According to the Letter No. 2410/02 of 24.10.2023, we withdrew the funds raised under the project in the amount of 45988.00 (forty-five thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight) UAH 00 kopecks for the purchase of a freezer and wardrobes for internally displaced persons living in the shelter of the NGO "Association for the Protection of Rights and Assistance to People with Disabilities "Open Hearts" in Vinnytsia, where 47 people live, including people and children with disabilities. The equipment was delivered to the shelter on November 6, 2023. The total purchase budget amounted to UAH 52149.00, including funds from the UBB in the amount of UAH 45988.00, the rest of the necessary funds were used from the budget of our Foundation.

In December 2023, due to the fact that the project had been fundraising for more than 6 months by that time, we asked for an extension of the fundraising, and the project text was updated according to the Letter №1812/01 of December 18, 2023.

On March 1, 2024, according to the Letter №0103/02, we decided to stop fundraising and withdraw the amount of UAH 14263.14 (fourteen thousand two hundred and sixty-three) 14 kopecks for the final implementation of the project, due to inactive fundraising and loss of relevance of the project.

So, for the remaining funds, we purchased stationery for internally displaced children and children affected by the war in the Recovery Camp, Lviv. The total amount of the purchase amounted to UAH 18417.00, of which UAH 14263.14 were funds raised within the project on dobro.ua. The donated aid will be enough for the children to use in several races. The camp is absolutely free, children with their mothers and grandmothers come there to get psychological help and emotional rest. The target audience of the camp is children affected by the war, as well as those who have lost one of their parents due to the hostilities.

The total amount of funds spent under the project amounted to 202743.64 (two hundred and two thousand seven hundred and forty-three) hryvnias and 64 kopecks. The assistance was provided to 4 organizations that care for IDPs and people affected by the war.
