Beyond the senses. 5

For more than five years, together with your support, we have been helping Mykhailyk and celebrating every one of his achievements. During this time, he has come a long way – from small, barely noticeable steps to milestones that seemed impossible just a few years ago. One of those achievements is attending a mainstream school.

Mykhailyk is now 8 years old. This year, he successfully completed the first grade in an inclusive education program. For a boy with an organic disorder of the central nervous system, this is an important result of many years of hard work by Mykhailyk himself, his family, and the specialists who support him. He enjoyed going to school, tried to communicate with his classmates, and found his greatest joy in music.

There have also been significant improvements in his social development. Mykhailyk has become more engaged with other children and shows increasing interest in playing together. He has also developed a particularly close bond with his younger sister, happily spending time with her, playing, and caring for her.

His parents' greatest dream is to hear Mykhailyk speak so they can understand his wishes, thoughts, and concerns. Unfortunately, speech remains one of his biggest challenges, which is why developing communication skills continues to be one of the main goals of his rehabilitation.
