Household chemicals for families in trouble

In connection with the coronavirus pandemic and the socio-economic consequences caused by it, the economic situation of the most vulnerable groups of the population in the country has deteriorated significantly. Especially in need of attention are those families whose children were sent home from boarding schools during quarantine. In such families, economic problems are often combined with stress, depression, conflict, conflict, and sometimes psychological and physical abuse. These are the poorest and most crisis families that could not independently provide for the basic needs of their children. Therefore, the position of children in such families requires a lot of attention and support.

Since 2008, СO «CF «Caritas-Khmelnitsky UGCC» has been supporting families who find themselves in difficult life circumstances in the project «Social and pedagogical work with children and youth in Ukraine», providing them with the necessary material assistance in the form of kits with food, means hygiene and household chemicals, and also psychologically supports these families.

Today, 55 families with children in difficult life circumstances and who need outside help to solve them are under social support. First, we believe that in the current situation it is necessary to create appropriate sanitary and hygienic conditions for raising children and provide families in need with hygiene products and household chemicals. In general, we plan to provide assistance to 55 families for a total of UAH 30,250.00. The recipients will be families with many children, families raising children with special needs and families in difficult life circumstances. This significant support for families that have deteriorated due to the pandemic will provide at least some of the basic needs and increase their potential.
