Fourteen years ago, Andriy suffered from oxygen deprivation at birth, but he developed normally during his first two years. Suddenly, he began having problems with his left leg and lost the ability to walk and speak. In 2019, he was diagnosed with the rare Hallervorden-Spatz disease, which causes iron deposits in the brain and affects physical and mental development.
In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation “POMAGAEM,” dated August 31, 2020, and  Supplementary Agreement No. 21.374 dated May 26, 2026, the project “Let’s Give Andriy the Strength to Move” was launched on the website  of the International Charitable Foundation “UBB” – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of Andriy Bevza’s treatment.
During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use a portion of the funds raised on the website of the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” (dobro.ua) to purchase special dietary products for the young man. Therefore, in accordance with Letter No. 228 dated June 1, 2026, we received the collected amount of 60,093.00 UAH (sixty thousand ninety-three hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
Thanks to the funds received, in June of this year we purchased and delivered “Resurs Junior” special-purpose food to Andriy for a total of 53,618.00 UAH (fifty-three thousand six hundred eighteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
Just three years ago, Andriyko could barely sit up. Now he rolls over, uses his hands, stands a little with support, and follows simple instructions. The greatest joy for his mom is seeing Andriy’s smile. Lately, he’s been laughing more and more often, especially when people play with him.
A recent change in the weather caused a setback—the boy started hiccupping and became weak. However, he’s feeling well now, eating his formula well, and smiling. Andriyko has started to express his emotions more and show his personality: he furrows his brow, wiggles his arms and legs, clearly demonstrating whether he likes something or not. He also has his demands—all the TVs at home must be on at the same time.
We plan to use the remaining funds in the amount of 6,475.00 UAH (six thousand four hundred seventy-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to meet Andriyko’s needs in 2026; the project is still raising funds.
We sincerely thank the donors and partners at dobro.ua for their help, and the UBB team for their long-standing cooperation!
