Nastia Tanasienko was born at 40 weeks of pregnancy, but during childbirth she swallowed green fluid, which prevented her lungs from functioning properly. As a result, the little girl ended up on a ventilator, where she spent three whole weeks. Then she was transferred to another hospital, discharged, and given recommendations to be monitored by a family doctor.
Time passed, the girl grew, but her parents noticed that Nastia's head was not growing and its size was not changing. She was 3 months old at the time. Her parents immediately took their daughter to a neurologist, who confirmed that Nastia had microcephaly. Later, new diagnoses were added to this one: at 7 months, she was diagnosed with delayed statokinetic and psychomotor development, spastic tetraparesis, and at 10 months, seizures.
Nastia will soon turn 6, and all this time the girl has been constantly taking medication and undergoing physical rehabilitation. Fortunately, the treatment is helping, and her relatives note a decrease in Nastia's muscle tone and improved sleep. But it is too early to talk about recovery, and rehabilitation must continue. Therefore, we ask everyone who reads this text and wants to support this wonderful girl to help her get new rehabilitation! Let's give Nastia a piece of our kindness!
