The Regional Family Health Medical Center of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council provides care for adults and children affected by the war. It is the largest medical facility in the region, essential for residents of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Here, doctors and specialists work every day to care for people during the most difficult moments of their lives: providing intensive care, surgical assistance, burn treatment, rehabilitation, and psychological support. Every child and adult receives attention, care, and a chance to recover. Each year, the hospital treats over 200,000 patients. In 2024 alone, more than 26,000 people were hospitalized, over 17,000 complex surgeries were performed, and more than 1,200 children completed rehabilitation, regaining mobility, strength, and confidence. Unfortunately, the war has left destruction in its wake: part of the building has been damaged, some departments need reinforcement, and the number of children requiring rehabilitation continues to grow. That is why we are raising 1 million hryvnias to create a Rehabilitation Space – a special room that will become a modern center for recovery for children after injuries, surgeries, nervous system conditions, and serious illnesses.
The project will involve the renovation and refurbishment of a modern space for the rehabilitation of children at the Regional Medical Center for Family Health of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, namely:
Renovation works – dismantling, finishing, electrical and plumbing works, and procurement of necessary materials.
Physiotherapy equipment:
-MOTOmed loop for safe and effective restoration of motor functions, reducing spasticity, preventing contractures, and training weakened parts of the body through an interactive digital interface.
-Squeezi – play-based rehabilitation using a pressure- and motion-sensitive ball.
-Gait trainer – simulating walking movements, supporting balance and coordination, and improving motor functions in children with neurological impairments.
-Assistive equipment for dressing and undressing – a set of 5 items to help children dress and undress independently.
The space will provide a safe environment and modern equipment for specialists, ensuring that every child receives an individualized rehabilitation program. Join the fundraiser! Give children affected by the war a chance for mobility, strength, and freedom.
