The hospital receives over 200,000 patients annually. In 2024 alone, over 26,000 people were hospitalized, over 17,000 complex surgeries were performed, and over 1,200 children underwent rehabilitation, restoring mobility, strength, and self-confidence. After rocket strikes on the city, part of the hospital was damaged and needed repair. Particular attention is paid to the spaces where children undergo rehabilitation. It was necessary to carry out repairs and purchase the most necessary equipment for working with patients.
Thanks to the funds received, we managed to qualitatively repair the rehabilitation hall, replace the wiring, and plumbing. Unfortunately, due to frequent shelling and power outages, the repair work continued much longer than originally planned. Workers were forced to take long breaks from work.
The following goods were also purchased:
- Physiotherapy equipment: MOTOmed loop for safe and effective restoration of motor functions, reduction of spasticity, prevention of contractures and training of weakened body parts through an interactive digital interface;
- Squeezi – rehabilitation through playing with a ball sensitive to pressure and movement
- Gait trainer (gait trainer) — for modeling walking movements, maintaining balance and coordination, as well as improving motor functions in children with neurological disorders;
- Auxiliary set for dressing and undressing (5 items) — for developing independence skills in children.
The equipment is purchased at the time of completion of the renovation work, so that it can be installed in the renovated space. Unfortunately, due to significant currency fluctuations, suppliers were unable to fix prices for 2025. That is why the cost of the product has increased. The aid operator of the Zaporuka Charity Fund undertook to purchase all the specified items and made its own contribution to the additional payment of the price difference.
There were also problems with delivery. The suppliers were waiting for a response from the manufacturer about the possibility of delivery to Ukraine and only in January received confirmation of delivery for February 2026. In February, the following equipment was delivered:
• Squeezi – rehabilitation through playing with a ball sensitive to pressure and movement.
• Gait trainer – modeling of walking movements, maintaining balance and coordination, improving motor functions in children with neurological disorders.
• Auxiliary equipment for dressing and undressing (Montessori frames with fasteners) - a set of 5 items to support children in independent dressing and undressing..
A letter was issued regarding the delay in the implementation of the project, Ex. No. 1/2026 dated 05.01.2026
The repair was completed according to the act of work performed dated 01.20.2026. The equipment was transferred to the hospital balance sheet under the form No. ML207 dated 10.21.2025, No. 8 dated 02.12.2026, and acts dated 02.05 and 02.06.2026.
