Give Glib the sound!

Glib has a real chance to hear the sweet words of mommy, the ringing laugh of his sister, the singing of birds and city noise. Hear the sounds of life! And not just to hear, but to further develop, learn to talk and understand others. We need cochlear implants that will perform the work of the damaged inner ear to transmit sound signals to the brain. But before implantation, in order to avoid atrophy of the auditory nerve, it is necessary to install sensitive hearing aids on both ears.  

Meet gentle and kind Glib. Little more than two years. An active, cheerful baby lives and does not suspect that something is wrong with him... Glib has a congenital hearing disorder, but before the age of one, the baby heard everything and even began to pronounce the first words. After long-term illnesses, otitis with complications, the hearing deteriorated, and the doctors made a disappointing diagnosis of bilateral deafness. 

Glib is an amazing child, nobody will say that he does not hear – he understands everything and remembers actions from the first time. Very independent child, trying to do everything himself – to dress, eat, and offended if they try to help him. He likes educational toys and balls. He is a mother's main assistant – sees all the crumbs and pieces of paper, collects and throws out. Whatever my mother did, hang clothes, cook for food or do the cleaning, Gleb is always there and tries to repeat all the actions. And what affectionate and kind he is! His 6-year-old little sister just loves! And so he tries to say something, but... only a moo is obtained.

The babies were examined in the centers of Zaporizhia, the Dnipro, and Kiev. The diagnosis – bilateral sensorineural deafness – confirmed by all clinics. In order for Glib to be able to hear, an operation is necessary – the installation of a cochlear implant. The queue to receive the implant at the expense of the state is moving, and there is hope that in 2019 Glib will be operated on. Before surgery, to prevent atrophy of the auditory nerve, it is necessary to urgently install hearing aids on both ears. According to the doctor's recommendation, sensitive devices SENSEI SP BTE 13 WL 110 are necessary.

At UBB we collect 50,600 UAH – part of the funds to purchase 2 sensitive hearing aids for Glib. The remaining amount of BF "Happy Child" will attract from additional sources. We ask for support of Glib, and as soon as possible to give him the opportunity to hear.
