5-year-old Eva have a rare disease of the joints – seronegative variant of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis autoimmune with rapidly progressive course. In simple words – a disease when the child's body produces a protein that attacks the body's own cells. It destroys the joints, affects the structure of the eye, reduces appetite. Eva have the second stage of degeneration. She is almost 6 years old, but my mother is still feeding her from a spoon.

At 4 years Eva every night complaining of pain in his knees. Her mother noticed that they are disproportionate and as a fluid-filled. The doctors did ultrasound, a number of tests and was diagnosed with JRA. The child stopped go to the garden and dance classes, and limited contact with people who may carry the risk of infection for her. But initial treatment has not produced sufficient results.

Then the doctors prescribed a second line therapy by medicines Humira, which neutralizes the effect of damaging joints protein. For the average Ukrainian family it prohibitively expensive – about 27 thousand hryvnia per month.

Eva is waiting for the meds from the state almost a year. But this year, the budget funding is not planned. Due to the high risk of disease progression can not wait for more! The first dose of the drug the girl got 28.08.2015 – the child's knees decreased, not pain. Treatment should be continued. Mother start fundraising for the 5 months of treatment – 10 vials Humira totaling 134 000 UAH. She only hope for help of concerned people. All Eva's family income is barely enough to support additional medicines and food.
