“My name is Natalia, and in 2017 I gave birth to a wonderful little girl, Polinka. My baby girl turned out to be a “preemie” and was born at 32-33 weeks of pregnancy weighing 2100 kg and 45 cm tall. Polinka immediately cried, and her Apgar score was 7. The next day, my girl was sent to the hospital, where I stayed with her for 3 weeks. The next four months were the happiest months of our lives,” says Polina's mother.

When Polina turned 5 months old, she had a routine checkup with a neurologist, and the doctor diagnosed her with a developmental delay. Since then, the struggle for Polina's full life began. When the girl was a year and 10 months old, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia. These three letters divided the family's life into before and after: endless rehabilitation and the search for specialists for the girl began.

Even the war did not stop the parents, because letting their child live a full life is the most important thing for them. They see their daughter's results, and this is their motivation.

“We realize that we will never stop doing everything so that one day our girl will take her first independent step. This is all for her and for her sake! Most of all, she loves communication - I think that all her friends associate Polya with a chirpy. And I often imagine her running around with her friends on the playground or at school, or anywhere. This is my most cherished wish. This is a full life for my most precious girl.”
