A gift that changes lives

This project was created and funded thanks to the birthday of Svetlana Panaiotidi. Svetlana dedicated her birthday to good deeds and encouraged all her friends to send charitable donations to help our Center of Happy Children instead of gifts.

 Thanks to her donation, we will be able to provide children with nutritious food for five months and pay the Center's utilities (especially in winter with expensive heating) for 4 months.

The Center brings up children who were not given the happiness of living with mom and dad. Each kid has experienced his own tragedy, but they all saw complete unsanitary conditions, alcohol and drug addiction of parents, psychiatric problems of adults, violence, poor nutrition and even hunger strikes. The task of Center №1 is to restore health to these children in order to give them a chance to live a happy life. And good nutrition is a guarantee of health restoration.

At the Center, children are provided with the necessary – food, accommodation, education. Along with this, social and psychological rehabilitation begins after the tragedies experienced. In addition, all children receive the necessary medical care. Every child who enters the Help Center undergoes a complete examination. The results show that every second baby has a chronic illness and one of the children cannot be called healthy. Diseases of the musculoskeletal system have 100% of children, a decrease in the immune system – 5%, diseases of the cardiovascular system – 5%, visual impairment – 10%.During the activity of the "City of Happy Children" charitable organization, children with strabismus, mycoses, hernias were operated on; children with severe diagnoses of HIV/ AIDS, diabetes mellitus, dwarfism, heart disease, tuberculosis were rehabilitated.

It is like a home for each of us. Imagine if suddenly the electricity and water are turned off in this house. And this is quite possible, since the "City of Happy Children" is not a profitable organization and exists solely thanks to the help of caring people. Therefore, every hryvnia is important for us, so as not to leave our children without warmth and light. Payment for utilities is an integral and very important condition for the existence of our Center. It is very important that all living conditions are provided.

We are grateful to Svetlana and all her friends for such a sincere and great help! Now we can sleep soundly! Our children will be fed and warm.
