Safe space for children in time of war

The war on the territory of our country continues to this day and it is difficult to predict when and how it will end. The impact of psycho-traumatic factors caused by these events is felt by the entire Ukrainian society, both by those people who are directly close to the contact line and by all regions of Ukraine, including the Khmelnytsky region. In such circumstances, projects aimed at providing psychological assistance to children through their involvement in extracurricular education, attending clubs, sections, and creative studios remain relevant.

In times of war, children are in a particularly vulnerable position and sometimes cannot receive adequate attention from their parents. It is classes in creative circles, sports, and art therapy that will help children, most of whom have disabilities, to find solace, communication, psycho-emotional support, make friends, develop their potential, and grow spiritually and creatively.

For these children, we have created a platform for educational, developmental and integration classes - the Art-Prostir Caritas creative centre, where they can develop their talents free of charge. Our task is to support and develop the creative abilities of children from families in crisis, especially children with disabilities and IDPs, while making them feel complete, confident and self-assured. We pay special attention to children with special needs and actively involve them in our clubs. They attend a dance studio, a studio of arts and crafts, media culture, etc., and are actively involved in judo.

In order to run the clubs, we need to purchase the necessary equipment, such as dance equipment, mirrors and furniture (lockers, benches, etc.), sports equipment.
