Polina: regular therapy – a path to growth

Five-year-old Polina is growing at her own unique pace, gradually learning basic developmental skills. She learned to sit and take her first steps later than other children, but she still does not speak. The cause is a rare genetic mutation that affects brain development, speech, coordination, and learning ability.
Polina regularly attends therapy sessions. Thanks to these, there are already noticeable results: she has learned to cut with scissors and make her first drawings – starting with lines, and now even circles. She has also started jumping – a skill that was previously impossible for her. There is progress in daily life as well: Polina can confidently hold a spoon, stir her food, and is trying to dress herself independently.
Due to her developmental challenges, Polina cannot attend kindergarten – it is difficult for her to stay in a room for a long time and be around many people. Instead, individual 30-minute sessions suit her well and bring results.
To ensure this progress continues, Polina needs daily, long-term therapy. All acquired skills require reinforcement, and only systematic rehabilitation gives her a chance to become more independent.
