Polina's vision can still be corrected
Polina is seven years old. She is the eldest daughter in a family from the city of Bila Tserkva. In general, she is a healthy and active girl, if not for her visual impairment. The girl's disease was discovered by accident: before going to the first grade, Polina underwent a general medical examination. During the examination, the ophthalmologist found that the girl had strabismus and congenital cataracts of the left eye. This happens when congenital cataracts manifest themselves over time, gradually reducing the ability to see.
Further examination by numerous ophthalmologists showed that it was impossible to correct the girl's vision without surgery. The girl needs to have her eye lens replaced, and it needs to be done soon to avoid losing her vision completely.
Polina has friends and, like other girls, loves to draw. But the disease has begun to significantly hinder the girl. She sees with her left eye blurred, all objects are blurred. Polina is still small, and so far she is not very shy about her disability. But if it is not corrected, and the girl completely loses vision in one eye, it can significantly affect her psychological state.
Polina lives with her mom, dad and little brother. Her father works at a furniture factory, and her mother is currently on maternity leave. They have no money to buy a lens for the operation. Mom asks for help from philanthropists.
