Little Evgenia, now just 10 months old, was born prematurely, at 32 weeks of her mother's pregnancy. Unfortunately, there were problems during the birth: the baby suffered a hemorrhage in the occipital region of the brain.

Since birth, Evgenia has been on enteral feeding through a tube. Doctors had been waiting for a long time for the child to develop a swallowing reflex. But instead, the girl had seizures. At the age of four months, doctors diagnosed her with genetic epilepsy and pseudobulbar syndrome.

This was the beginning of her difficult life path, which instead of a full childhood would be filled with continuous treatment and rehabilitation. The girl's seizures were almost eliminated thanks to medications. Now the child will take them constantly. Evgenia is going to undergo surgery to install a gastrostomy, but the child needs to learn to swallow on her own, which takes time and professional help.

In addition to Evgenia, the family has two other minor children, aged nine and twelve. Only the father works, but he receives his salary late. The family has been living in Kharkiv throughout the war, and they have never left the city. Their income is barely enough to cover the family's living expenses. They have no means to finance Evgenia's treatment. The girl's mother is asking for help.
