Nazar is 11 years old, and he has already been through more than many adults could bear. Now he needs your support to continue his rehabilitation – and keep moving forward.
Nazar was born prematurely, together with his little sister. From his very first minutes of life – an incubator, a ventilator, a brain hemorrhage. Then a series of complex surgeries for hydrocephalus and a shunt placement. Later, epilepsy and cerebral palsy were added to the list.
Years of rehabilitation brought hope: Nazar learned to walk with a walker, spasticity decreased, his back grew stronger. It seemed like his first independent steps were just around the corner. Then the full-scale war began. Rehabilitation sessions were interrupted, the boy was afraid to go outside, and spasticity returned.
But thanks to your support, Nazar was able to return to his sessions – and specialists are now noting significant progress.
"We have seen significant improvements in our boy: reduced spasticity, increased activity, a growing vocabulary and ability to use it in communication. Nazar approached his sessions with great enthusiasm – showing his unstoppable desire to move forward. Thanks to speech therapy, his speech is clearer and easier to understand. During occupational therapy sessions, the most comfortable tools for eating were selected and helpful advice was given. Sensory integration brings Nazar real joy, even though it is also real work. And the swimming pool for our boy is like water for a fish – relaxation and muscle work all at once", the Shevchenko family.
Nazar wants so much to be healthy – and he puts all his effort into it. Please support him on this journey.
