It is difficult to imagine that the life of this smiling blue-eyed woman is full of pain and suffering. But unfortunately it is true. Irynahas beendisabled from her childhood, she has acongenital dislocation of a hip joint. Due to the wrong diagnosis made in her childhood Iryna didn't undergo needed treatment and at the age of 27 she virtually couldn't walk on her own. In 1992 she had a surgery which enabled her to walk with a stick but in 2011 her condition got worse and the entire hip joint was replaced with an artificial one. For Iryna to be able to walk now, an expensive rehabilitation is needed. Let's help this woman to recover feet!

Due to the misdiagnosis made in her childhood Iryna didn't have the needed treatment and at the age of 27 she wasn't able to walk any more. Yenakiievo doctors made a very complex operation of the affected joint, thereupon she was able to regain feet: at first she walked with a hobble, then with a stick. During 20 years of her life Iryna felt a person that lived a full life: a Deputy Head of three civic organizations of Donetsk, she was activelyengaged in social work, rendering assistance to people with disabilities. Two years ago however the operated joint failed completely and the woman had to use a wheel-chair. In spite of the disability, this strong woman tries to live a full-valued life and act in the way worthy of the Human.

Last summer, in front of healthy people who were however lost because of the suddenness, she saved a small girl who was left unattended by her parents on the beach and started drowning. According to the witnesses, Iryna jumped out of her wheel-chair, threw off her shoes, jacket and took a dive into the lake. Literally in a minute she came up with the girl with her. Thus the small girl from Lugansk was reborn and Iryna accomplished a feat worthy of a man of the right stamp. But today it's Iryna who needs specific support!

At the end of 2011 her health condition drastically worsened and Iryna had to turn to a traumatic surgeon again. After the examination the doctor with many years’ experience told that it was yet possible to "mend" the joint and she would be able to walk on her own then but not more than 2-2.5 years. According to the doctor, in that situation the most appropriate decision would be the replacement of the affected joint with an artificial one, moreover, it would be necessary to replace not only the joint itself but also the cotyloid cavity of the hip which is a socket of the latter. In April 2014 specialists of the Endoprosthesis Replacement, Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital N 12 operated the woman to simulate and replace the right hip joint with subsequent plastering of the leg and the lower part of the body.

Iryna is nevertheless facing a long, painful and costly postsurgical rehabilitation – treatment in specialized medical centers, development of the joint which underwent surgery. Only after that she would be able to take her first steps on her own... This would however necessitate buying a special motorized multifunctional bed OSD-91 V and undergo a rehabilitation course in a medical center, for which purposes she wouldneed to raise 17 320 UAH. Iryna has no such money and her only hope is people who care, you!
