Saving premature babies depends on us

Every 15th child is born in Ukraine. This is a huge statistic that knocks on the doors of every fifteenth family in Ukraine. Premature birth is a huge problem of our time, and none of the doctors can predict 100% premature birth in women. Children who are born with underdeveloped life systems are completely dependent on the material and technical base of equipment in the hospital. Their lives are only in the hands of doctors who, unfortunately, cannot solve the problem of under-equipping hospitals with rescue devices. We come to the rescue with you.

Changes in the environment of the newborn, seemingly minimal, can lead to profound temporary or permanent damage to the body of the premature baby. This gave reason to talk about the need for careful monitoring and control over the intensity of physical factors affecting an immature child. Because of the increased intangible water loss associated with immaturity of renal function, extremely low birth weight infants require increased fluid supply (intravenous infusion or, in some cases, umbilical artery infusion).

Infusion therapy is the main technique in nursing a prematurely born child, because it is thanks to her that children receive medicines, food and all the medical supplies necessary for rescue. Premature infants have higher fluid requirements than term infants. That is why devices for infusion therapy are a prerequisite in any department of post-intensive care, rehabilitation and nursing of premature newborns.

Infusion pumps are devices that are used for intravenous infusion when high accuracy and safety for children is required. The device allows you to adjust the rate of administration of the required dose of the drug using a special electronic system that is built into it. Electronics allows you to administer medicine in several ways, at any time, taking into account various factors. Factors are taken into account: time, the device turns on at the desired response time; baby's weight, when, when only weight is introduced, the device itself selects the required dosage. With the help of an infusion pump, it is possible to administer several drugs at the same time, you can program the sequence of administration of drugs, as well as a combination of administration. The invention of such a convenient device made the work of doctors more convenient and efficient.

Infusion pumps help to accurately and accurately adhere to the required dosage of medicines. The device, thanks to the computer interface port, can memorize the procedures that were carried out earlier. The device is equipped with an "Alarm" signal, which turns on at the end of the procedure or mode, as well as when any problems arise. Unfortunately, the state does not provide hospitals with the necessary amount of equipment, so we turn to those who are not indifferent for help.

The goal of our project is to purchase a modern infusion pump for infusion therapy in Municipal non-profit enterprise "MATERNITY BUILDING" of Chernihiv City Council, where the lives of premature babies are saved every day. Support our project and give children a chance for a healthy future!
