Rescue victims from violence and war

A protracted and exhausting war continues to destroy lives and destinies. Thousands of women with young children are forced to leave their homes or the ruins left by the bombing and seek refuge in other, relatively safe Ukrainian cities. Most often, these women, with only one suitcase and at best some documents and hugging their young children, find themselves on the doorstep of a shelter in a town in Khmelnytskyi region that was created specifically for such disadvantaged women. Women who dared to escape from a domestic tyrant who posed a mortal danger to the woman and her children, subjecting them to daily abuse and physical violence, also find refuge in the shelter.

All of these victims find acceptance, warmth, understanding and support at the shelter, as well as all the necessary assistance that a mother and her children may need in their new home. It is extremely important that each of the newly arrived women is individually accompanied by qualified specialists who help them to cope with all the challenges and tasks on a daily basis, step by step: to establish a new life with their children, to solve social, domestic and legal aspects of their situation, to learn effective job search and skills that will help them recover from their experiences, to start taking care of themselves and their children and to start a new life in new conditions. 

As this assistance is extremely necessary and irreplaceable, we need to find funds to pay for 3 specialists who will work full-time for three months and take care of the women and their children, and be in touch with them 24/7. 

Such support will dramatically change the lives of women and children in the shelter for the better, providing them with the resources, skills and abilities to continue living independently, independent of their abusers and the circumstances in which they find themselves.
