At the age of seven, Nikita Burlai already knows what real grief is. At the end of 2020, his twin brother became an angel. For 6 long years Nikita and David walked hand in hand towards the goal – to learn how to walk on their own. Through sweat and tears, surgery and rehabilitation. David was weaker... Nikita went to first grade this year. 

The boy is studying in an inclusive class at a regular school and is already getting used to a new stage in his life, and this is non-stop rehabilitation. Since the beginning of 2021, Nikita's life is still on the road: hippotherapy classes at the "Sprout of Life" center to improve the functioning of the vestibular apparatus and 2 courses at the "Space Clinic" center in Kharkov, then - complex treatment in the Odessa sanatorium "Khadzhibey" and in the Dnepropetrovsk " Ioannov Center".

In between rehabilitations, when mom and boy are at home, Nikita has a school in the morning, and then a sports section. For almost a year Nikita has been practicing judo! What is easy and simple for an ordinary child, then Nikita is given with difficulty. After a trial lesson, seeing the boy's great desire, the coach agreed to take a special baby. So far, the lessons are individual, because it is not easy to deal with children with special needs. And Nikita, in turn, is trying very hard to get into the general group of children. But now the main thing is to learn to walk with confidence! And training between rehab is good for keeping fit.

In August, before the start of the school year, Nikita attended intensive rehabilitation at the Kharkiv "Space Clinic". The center went to meet his mother, carried out rehabilitation for the boy, and provided an opportunity to pay for it later, but now it is awaiting payment. The family has already paid part of the required amount, but they cannot find the rest of the amount on their own.
