Let's return the boy's eyesight

10-year-old Valentyn Popov from the Odessa region has vision problems: he does not see well. More precisely, he practically does not see anything due to congenital cataracts in both eyes. The boy's mother was deprived of parental rights, and his father has a disability. Valentyn's mom is replaced by an older sister. Now the boy lives and studies in the 4th grade of the Odessa specialized school, outside the school Valik lives with his sister. Valentyn needs eye surgery, but there is no money for it. 

The boy started having vision problems 2 months after his birth. The visit to the ophthalmologist took place immediately, when it became clear that the baby did not look at objects and nearby people at all and did not fix his gaze. Then the doctor's diagnosis was disappointing – the boy had congenital cataracts in both eyes and squint. 

At the age of 11 months, Valentyn underwent his first cataract surgery on his right eye. Unfortunately, it did not bring the desired results: there was a relapse, the boy began to see even worse on him. The doctors prescribed glasses, but over time they stopped helping. Eyes ached and watery all the time. Now the situation has worsened, and only surgery on both eyes can correct it.

Valentyn is a sociable boy, he easily finds a common language with his classmates. His success is good, he shows a special interest in mathematics. Valik has a very good ear, he loves to sing, so he attends a music club and sings in the school choir. At school, Valik has a best friend, Bogdan, with whom they study, play and communicate on various boy topics.The only thing that so far does not allow him to feel the real taste of childhood is poor eyesight. 

Microsurgeons of the capital "OKHMATDYT" are ready to perform surgery on both of Valentyne's eyes, but this requires the purchase of artificial lenses and other consumables materials required for surgery.

The boy's dad is unable to do this due to his disability and financial condition. Valik himself receives a disability pension, but, of course, this is not enough. Valentyn can only rely on us. Support the project and we can restore the boy's eyesight!
