Give Arsenii his childhood back

      At the end of January, Arseniy, a Year 2 pupil, began to suffer from severe headaches, intermittent loss of speech and seizures. An MRI scan revealed lesions in the brain, and further examinations at the St Nicholas Clinic in Lviv led to a diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAEM’, dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. 387 of 21 July 2026, the project ‘Give Arseniy His Childhood Back’ was published on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising funds to cover the cost of Arseniy Danylyuk’s treatment.
      The initial target amount for the project was 123,925.00 UAH (one hundred and twenty-three thousand nine hundred and twenty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks). Once the full amount required to cover Arseniy’s treatment had been raised across the two platforms – the Charitable Organisation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the ‘Pomahayem’ Charitable Foundation – we requested that the fundraising campaign be closed, that the target amount on the UBB platform be reduced to the actual amount raised – 31,974.00 UAH (thirty-one thousand nine hundred and seventy-four hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and to transfer the funds to our current account to cover Arseniy’s treatment and project administration, in accordance with letter No. 360 dated 25 August 2026.
      Thanks to the funds received, in September of this year we purchased and delivered medicines for Arseniy totalling 30,375.30 UAH (thirty thousand three hundred and seventy-five hryvnias, 30 kopecks), and also paid for the project’s administration.
      Following Arseniy’s sixth course of ‘Bioven’, which he received in early September this year, the doctor confirmed that the intravenous treatment is now complete and no seventh course is planned. The crucial first year following the end of treatment lies ahead, during which the child’s condition must be closely monitored. A follow-up EEG is scheduled for the end of October.
      In the meantime, Arseniy has some very good news — his MRI and EEG scans have shown excellent results. The family is overjoyed and would like to thank everyone who contributed to the fundraising campaign.
      All the funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have now been spent on the child’s needs.
