Return the opportunity to walk! 6

Dear donors, thanks to your support Kristina restores her ability to walk! It is particularly surprising because at the onset of disease Kristina was practically unable to move, she completely lost sensitivity in her legs. She can eat with the outside help only, her speech was impaired so that she could not answer phone calls – she was shy because could not pronounce words properly. The young girl has spent 4 years in a wheelchair. 

Now, due to received treatment Kristina can stand (!) unassisted, without outside support as long as several minutes. She is able to walk independently with the aid of a quad cane, she can ascend stairs and get to the second floor, her speech has been restored and the sensitivity of legs is good down to the very ankles! 

However, success is always difficult to reach, this way is not simple and rehabilitation cannot be fast. Exercises, massages, physiotherapeutic procedures and trainer sessions take eight hours of hard work daily. That is how Kristina spends every day in the rehabilitation center. She has to train herself long hours and hard – it is like in a sport when super results can be achieved by super strain. So, Kristina exerts herself to the utmost extent. We cannot but envy the persistence and tenacity of this young girl!

Nowadays Kristina is both surprised and anxious about the changes in her body. She has become much more active and agile. Due to rehabilitation, her muscles became stronger and she steps by step acquires her balance. Her eyes shine with happiness, she has got hope and firm determination to recover for sure. The girl makes her way to her dream! However, financial resources are limited. It is necessary to pay UAH 60,000 for the next rehabilitation course, which the family does not have. Please, give hearty support to Kristina, she badly needs just one more step to make towards victory and accomplishment of her dearest dream – to walk again!
