Eva is now 4 years old. She is a very active, curious, and cheerful little girl. Eva has type 1 diabetes – her body doesn’t produce insulin, so her blood sugar levels need to be monitored around the clock.
The girl was diagnosed when she was very young, just a year and a half old. Since then, the family’s life has changed: constant blood sugar checks, insulin injections, monitoring every meal, and her parents’ constant worry about Eva’s condition day and night.
Continuous glucose monitoring sensors are a huge help in avoiding dangerous drops or spikes in blood sugar levels. They allow for real-time monitoring of glucose levels and quick response.
Unfortunately, the sensors need to be replaced regularly, and this is a significant financial burden for the family. Your help means a safer childhood for Yeva.
