Maria was born prematurely, weighing only one kilogram. The tiny girl spent several months in the hospital. At first, she even breathed through a ventilator. Doctors saved the child's life, but could not avoid negative consequences, one of which is cerebral palsy.
Maria has been fighting for her right to free movement since her very birth. At the age of six, she underwent surgery for a dislocation of her left hip and another orthopedic surgery. A significant part of a girl's life is hospitals, examinations, and rehabilitation courses.
Maria is twelve years old now. She does not walk yet and sits only with support. On her own level, she understands others and can say a few words. And she is always happy to see the teacher who comes to her home. Together they paint and read fairy tales. The girl also loves going for walks and talking with acquaintances, while being outside. Even without speaking skills, instead of many words, she gives everyone a sincere smile and leaves a bright mark on the soul.
Maria constantly struggles with spasticity. This is uncontrolled muscle tension that causes pain. Regular rehabilitation courses reduce muscle tone, and arms and legs become more mobile. The next course is planned at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic. Its value is 43,740 UAH, which the family does not have. So let's support this wonderful girl together, giving her the opportunity to live a pain-free life!
