Food parcels for the elderly in Kherson

Thanks to the support of caring people, it was possible to raise a significant part of the funds - 137 570,24  UAH. Also an important role in the completion of the project was played by the partner of the fund, which provided additional funding and allowed to quickly close the balance of the required amount. 140 food packages weighing 15 kg each were purchased with the collected funds. Each set consisted of basic food products such as cereals, pasta, canned food, sunflower oil and other necessary things to support people in difficult conditions. These food packages were given to lonely elderly people of Dnipro district of Kherson - one of the most shelled areas of the city. For residents of Kherson, this assistance has become not only an opportunity to survive, but also a symbol of support in the most difficult times. Older people, who are often left alone with trouble, received not just products, but also the belief that they were not forgotten. Kherson is under fire every day because of its proximity to the front line and constantly suffers significant damage. Elderly people are especially affected, who, due to their age and health, often cannot leave dangerous zones on their own or find the necessary for survival. Basic things, such as food, become an unattainable luxury for them due to the constant destruction of infrastructure, the closure of shops and the danger of moving around the city. The situation in Kherson was complicated by daily shelling with KAB missiles, MLRS and unmanned systems that destroy houses, roads and even humanitarian routes. Transport logistics in such conditions is a real challenge. However, despite these difficulties, the foundation team together with partners decided that the aid should be delivered under any conditions.
