Yaroslav needs our help again. The kid has been fighting brain cancer for 2 years. It seems only yesterday we finished fundraising for the first stage of treatment in London. And today the funds in the amount of 101 000 pounds are required for autologous bone marrow transplant.

According to the British doctors autologous bone marrow transplantation is the only chance for Yaroslav to recover completely. Preliminary treatment abroad has brought its results: brain tumor disappeared and metastases decreased by a half.

Yaroslav is a sweet 5-year old boy who is fighting for happiness during all his life. Immediately after his birth his mother abandoned him. God was merciful to the boy and gave him new parents, Nadiya and Sergiy, who, unfortunately, could not have their own children. Then a new life full of joy began for him in the Strembovskyis family. But when he was 3 years old he got a terrible diagnosis: medulloblatoma, brain cancer. About 30 chemotherapy cycles underwent in Ukraine and Russia did not bring the desired results as well as 3 operations, several cycles of radiation therapy...

Now Yaroslav is in England. There he underwent two cycles of chemotherapy with the use of Avastin. It’s you, kind-hearted people, who gave this child an opportunity to be treated abroad. Thank you very much! The result is incredible! The MRI scan showed that brain tumor disappeared and the metastases along the spine decreased by a half! Yaroslav gradually begins to recover, begins to dream. He even met his first sincere love! Sofia... It’s the name of the woman with whom he fell in love in England. She comes to Yaroslav and doesn’t allow him to get bored, to suffer from pain, amuses him, gives joy and, thus, saves his life. “Sophia is a play worker who distracts children from pain during procedures. She was very nice and is always smiling”, says Yaroslav’s mother. All the doctors know that Yaroslav dreams of getting married to her. The child returns to life and starts enjoying everything around.

But… To permanently overcome brain cancer Yaroslav requires two autologous bone marrow transplants. It’s when stem cells are taken from the patient himself. The first transplant costs nearly 101 000 pounds. For Nadiya this amount of money is astronomical. So she begs again to help save her son’s life, to save his dream of ever finding his Sophia and creating his own family...

“Yaroslav is the sense of my life,” says Nadiya. “He keeps me on this earth, gives me joy and love. His warm smile gives me strength to fight, to seize every opportunity to save the most precious thing in my life, that is my son. I beg you to help my little Yaroslav!”
