A brain tumor can take Oleg's life. 6

Oleg at the finish line to recovery. His story is well known to UBB donors. In 2017, Oleg was diagnosed a malignant formation of brain. Then he was 9 years old. The boy suffered from epileptic seizures which caused by brain tumor. Since then Oleg has been a hard and debilitating struggle for his life and health... This boy had to go through many things: complex operations, rehabilitation, optic nerve failure, and numerous chemo and radiation therapies. 

Thanks to the support of caring people, Oleg several times received the necessary medications for treatment. From the parents of the child we express our gratitude for the help! The boy has a very good result when taking Zelboraf. Oleg’s health returned to normal, he looks good. But most importantly: the tumor stopped growth and the metastases are gone! He returned to school – attended classes along with healthy children. And although it has become more difficult for him to study because of vision problems, he did not lower the bar and studies well. Classmates understand the situation, support and help Oleg.

Like all schoolchildren, Oleg is now at home due to quarantine. He helps the mother, nurses with his younger brother, entertains him. Being very active by nature, Oleg comes up with various contests and activities. The boys have no time to be bored! Oleg needs to complete the course of treatment. Receiving the drug Zelboraf extended until June. The drug is expensive, 1 package costs 51 782 UAH. “Uh, a big sum for our family,” says the boy’s mother. Oleg’s main dream is to be healthy. Therefore, parents, relatives and the boy himself are asked to help acquire the drug necessary for treatment.
