Lifesaving rehabilitation for Nazar
Nazar, along with his sister, were born prematurely, the boy ended up in an incubator, and later – under a ventilator apart. For 2.5 months, Nazar could not breathe on his own, and the reason for this was a brain hemorrhage. Subsequently, the boy developed hydrocephalus, due to which he underwent several operations: a shunt system was installed and brain surgery was performed. Nazar was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy and symptomatic epilepsy.
The boy was treated. Medicines helped to reduce the intensity of epileptic attacks, and rehabilitation saved his physical condition. So, for 8 years of painstaking work and struggle for health, a lot has been achieved: Nazar began to walk independently in a walker, his spasticity decreased and his back got stronger. Relatives had great hope that the boy would be able to walk independently. However, the treatment had to be suspended...
On the morning of February 24, the family was in Brovary - they jumped out of bed from the explosion. Alarms, sirens, news – Russian troops are approaching the city. They spent a few nights in a cold garage, a few more in the basement. Children slept dressed on mattresses.
“My daughter asked a lot, cried and asked for it all to end, and Nazarchik began to be afraid to go outside and cry, he began to tantrum. The main problem is that Nazar could be left without anticonvulsant drugs, which we got from abroad, and we have only a month left of them. And the enemy was approaching at that time... We make a decision and go to our friends in a safer place”, recalls Nazar’s mother with horror.
Parents saw how bad their son was. He was still afraid to go out, scared of sirens, spasticity twisted his arms and legs, his emotional state was very difficult. Then the parents decided to return home and look for an opportunity for Nazar to undergo rehabilitation. Now this therapy for the boy is simply saving. Help him get into rehab!
