Little Solomiya is one year and month old. And that is a miracle. Because a year ago, the doctors prepared her mother that the baby would hardly stay long in this world even for six months: her kidneys are underdeveloped and do not fulfill their functions. But, contrary to predictions, Solomiyka lives and fights, giving hope to her parents. To undergo the dialysis every day, she and her mother live in Kiev, far from father and sister. Unfortunately, that is just a temporary solution. Baby needs a kidney transplant from an unrelated donor. The price of Solomiyka‘s life is 60 000 dollars.

When Marina Segeda married for the second time, she has already 17-year-old daughter from her first marriage. But her husband really dreamed about their own child. So the news that Marina is pregnant, the couple took as the answer to their prayers. In April, 2015 Solomiyka was born.

The happiness of young parents did not last long. After three weeks Solechka, as she is called at home, has a fever. At the hospital, the little girl was made US, the result of research sounded like a verdict: hypoplasia of the kidneys. They are entirely absent of blood flow, at a certain stage of intrauterine growth it stopped to develop.

Six weeks mother and Solomiya „travelled“ at Dnepropetrovsk hospitals - doctors could not do anything. Toxins were slowly poisoning the body, so in the end, the baby had convulsions. By the ambulance Solya was taken to Kiev Ohmadtit hospital. The girl was made peritoneal dialysis. During this procedure, a dialysis solution is injected through the catheter directly into the peritoneal, so through the peritoneum toxins and excess fluid is filtered into the solution. That Solya has to undergo every night.

Because such an important organ does not work, baby is behind in physical development, she has recently started to sit up, her teeth have started to grow recently. But she struggles and clinging to life with her small little hands and is not discouraged and you can see how she is smiling in the photos! But the father misses his beloved daughter: because of necessity of dialysis, Solomiyka and her mother live in Kiev Ohmatdit and father with the eldest daughter - in Dnepropetrovsk. Dialysis cannot be carried out continuously. Solya needs a kidney transplant, but the relatives are not suitable as donors. Parents took their girl to Belarus for examination. Nephrologist S.V.Bayko agreed to conduct an operation to transplant a cadaveric kidney. It should be done as soon as possible, while Solomiya is not transferred to hemodialysis. But the cost of the operation is completely impossibly for the family where only dad is working. To tell the truth, if the mother worked, it would unlikely change the situation much: from Belarus there came invoice for 60 000 dollars. Let's give Solomiyka a chance to survive!
