Petrenko family needs help

On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Sashko was gone. The UBB team brings our most sincere words of condolences to the boy's native. He courageously struggled with the disease, but it was stronger... Doctors found neuroblastoma of extraceliac cavity in Oleksandr. After examination, the doctors from Germany agreed to treat the boy. The boy can be saved only by up-to-day treatment abroad – Ukrainian doctors are powerless. The family have not enough funds to go to Germany and pay for therapy, therefore the parents address to everyone who cares to help their son – help raise money for his treatment.

Good day! We are the Petrenkos, the family of three-year-old Oleksandr. When two-year-old Oleksandr started feeling pain in his legs and a long-term fever, he underwent medical examination and the doctors decided that was complications after flu. We controlled the condition of the child undergoing all medical examinations. During one examination when we were making him ready for kindergarten, his condition got worse again. We rushed to the hospital. After a detailed examination, the doctors decided that was a severe type of children's rheumatism. Along 3 weeks of treatment, the condition of our son kept worsening and the last doctor to examine him was oncologist. Bone marrow puncture and CT displayed a terrible diagnosis - neuroblastoma of extraceliac cavity, 4th stage spread to the bone marrow!

During the first months of his treatment, the child startled, did not talk, had no smile on his face and kept asking for his sister, to his home and his bed. The baby could not understand why everybody making him hurt. Oleksandr loved playing with his peers, was extremely acting and could not still for a minute.

His best friend is still his sister, since his first day they have been constantly together.

Oleksandr underwent 10 heaviest chemotherapies for a year and 4 months, more than 20 anesthesia, extremely difficult operation in tumor removal, bone marrow transplant, yet Oleksandr is still fighting for his life keeping asking when can he go to kindergarten?

Right now, his treatment is complete in Ukraine, as the doctors cannot help him. Chief Oncologist, Klymniuk G.I. after detailed examinations concluded that Oleksandr requires further immediate treatment abroad. We addressed to foreign hospitals. A hospital in Germany said they are ready to take Oleksandr for therapy. They say, if we could start his therapy there in the short period, we would have chances for his recovery and happy life. This hospital succeeded in treating this disease applying the most up-to-date methods of treatment.

Our family depends on the fate of the boy! The price of life of Oleksandr is 143 400 EUR! Ukrainian Charity Fund raises a part of needed amount – 265 thousand UAH. Along the long-term treatment, our family is desperate, we do not have so much money and all of us address to you, people who care! We believe you can help us! We, the mother and the father, do believe in that! We believe that good deeds will bring you many good things into your life. We beg you to help us! As any, even small help will give Oleksandr a ticket to a healthy life!
