Movement is life: a chance for Nikita to become stronger

Nikita is 11 years old. Due to a complex metabolic disorder, his body does not function the way it should. He gets tired quickly, his muscles become weak, and even simple movements require much more effort than they do for other children. What may seem like an ordinary walk or game for someone else can be a real challenge for Nikita.
This diagnosis means that his body cannot properly absorb nutrients. As a result, he does not receive enough energy for normal growth and development. He experiences weakness, low endurance, and coordination difficulties. Without continuous support, his condition may gradually worsen.
Nikita’s family are internally displaced persons from Kramatorsk. Because of the war, they were forced to leave their home and start over in Kharkiv. A new city, constant uncertainty, and ongoing stress have become part of their daily reality – adding to the already heavy burden of caring for a child with special medical needs.
Doctors recommend regular individual and group therapy sessions to help strengthen his muscles, maintain endurance, and stabilize his condition. Consistent rehabilitation gives Nikita a chance to stay active and continue developing. We kindly ask you to support him on this journey.
