Within the framework of the project ‘Sasha dreams of getting out of a wheelchair. 6’ project, the purpose of which is to raise funds for the treatment of Oleksandra Ihorivna Ryabushenko, born in 2009, funds in the amount of UAH 35,000.00 were raised.

Sasha has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis and mixed form of hyperkinesis since birth. The child needs to undergo systematic rehabilitation 3-4 times a year in specialised rehabilitation centres. With appropriate treatment and rehabilitation, children with diagnoses like Sasha's can lead almost normal lives. Our goal is to put Sasha back on his feet and give the Ryabushenko family the happiness of having a child with unrestricted movement.
The project started on 15.05.24. Thanks to charitable contributions, the amount of UAH 35,000.00 was collected on the platform of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange dobro.ua and we paid for Oleksandr's rehabilitation course. The treatment at the International Centre for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology lasted from 22 to 31 August 2024. After receiving all the documents from the rehabilitation centre, we paid the bill for UAH 35,000.00.

Mom wrote in a letter: ‘Thank you all so much! That this course has taken place!’ 😘🤗

Throughout this course, every day I wanted to thank the Universe and all those kind people who made it happen, despite all the obstacles! And the foundations, Everyone Can and UBB, who helped raise funds for rehabilitation, and that unknown benefactor who at the last minute (when I had almost lost hope that Sasha would be able to get this necessary course in August) paid the lion's share of the missing fee! And to my friend Olenka from Italy and her girls! And to the guys from the air defence system who protected us during large-scale shelling, and to Sasha's guardian angel who took care of her and did the impossible: during the emergency blackouts in Kyiv, only our house was not turned off all week and we were able to go down from the 20th floor without any obstacles and get to class on time!

I am very grateful to the entire team of the Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology Centre, which is new to us, for their well-coordinated work: for the great massage that relaxed Sasha on days when she was constrained by hyperkinesis, and the guys for physical therapy, where Sasha trained her balance and independent walking, the girls in occupational therapy who taught her to eat on her own, and of course, the super speech therapists! There were 4 specialists working, each with their own approach, and in a few days they managed to put Sasha's C and S sounds, and now she can pronounce her name!

Even when I got on the train, on the last day I did not know who to thank more, or the cool uncle conductor, who opened the ramp to the carriage for us and offered us a separate modern special compartment for people with disabilities, and he agreed with other passengers to move to our seats in the next compartment.

In short, on my birthday, I am returning home happy, having received a very valuable gift - high-quality rehabilitation for my child and not spoiled nerves from possible surprises of a stormy life!

Thank you very much to all of you, kind people!

CO ICF ‘Everyone Can’ joins the Ryabushenko family and expresses its sincere gratitude to the site https://dobro.ua/ and everyone who responded to the call for help to Oleksandra, you gave the child hope for a healthy future!
