Seven-year-old Olezhyk needs treatment

Olezhyk is seven years old, and he is a very active boy. But there is one problem in his life – a serious illness does not allow the child to develop further.

It all started at the age of three, when Oleg went to kindergarten. The child behaved unusually – Oleg covered his ears, cried, did not respond to his name. The educators saw his detachment and suggested that he see a doctor. Then began the long journey of finding the true cause of the boy's illness, an endless process of establishing the correct diagnosis, which continues to this day.

Currently, the child has mental retardation, he understands only the most basic things. This is accompanied by incorrect pronunciation of words and hyperkinetic disorder, when the child does not sit still for even a minute. Olezhyk cannot study together with all the children, because against the background of his illness, he has manifestations of aggression, and there are also fears that do not give the child peace.

Olezhyk developed epilepsy at the age of five. Mom could not come to terms with this for a long time, she did not register a disability and believed that her son would definitely recover soon and that her child would be, like all children, just now such a period and delay in development. But time passed, and nothing changed.

Oleg is currently taking a number of anticonvulsant drugs, he needs to undergo an additional MRI of the head according to the epi-protocol, a number of genetic tests and a general blood test. The child needs rehabilitation and classes with a speech and language therapist, a psychologist and a correctional teacher. All this can give an impetus to Oleg's development and improve his well-being, but it costs a lot, and the mother cannot pay for everything on her own.

The boy's mother believes that everything will work out for him, and her son will be able to live a normal life and be useful to society.
