Serious struggle of Dima

    In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAYEM’, dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. 208 of 14 June 2021, the project ‘Dima’s Serious Battle’ was posted on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising funds for the treatment of Dmytro Mykhnenko.
    Subsequently, there was a need to use part of the funds raised on the UBB website to purchase medicines for the young man. Therefore, in accordance with letter No. 124 dated 25 August 2021, we received the collected sum of 32,900.00 UAH (thirty-two thousand nine hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising on the dobro.ua platform.
      Thanks to the funds raised on the Ukrainian Charity Exchange website, in 2021 we purchased medicines for Dima worth 16,252.81 UAH (sixteen thousand two hundred and fifty-two hryvnias, 81 kopecks), and in 2022, we bought him vitamins worth 3,334.18 UAH (three thousand three hundred and thirty-four hryvnias, 00 kopecks). In 2023, we helped Dmytro with the payment of medical services totalling 8,446.50 UAH (eight thousand four hundred and forty-six hryvnias and 50 kopecks), in 2024, we supported the young man with medicines worth 9,706.52 UAH (nine thousand seven hundred and six hryvnias, 52 kopecks). In 2025, we paid for medicines and medical examinations totalling 4,796.05 UAH (four thousand seven hundred and ninety-six hryvnias and 05 kopecks).
   This year, when Dima fell ill, the Mykhnenko family turned to us again with a request to support the young man with medicines, which we did in March to the tune of 2,474.00 UAH

      Dmytro is feeling well at the moment and is looking to the future with optimism. He balances his studies with activities he enjoys: at the weekends, he visits friends to get a change of scenery and relax a little. Life is gradually settling into a routine, and it seems that the hardest times are now behind him. 
    At the moment, Dima is studying fairly consistently and without any major problems. Previously, the situation was somewhat more complicated: his studies were often interrupted by illness, but now everything has settled down and he attends classes regularly. There are still two years left until he finishes his studies. A medical examination is scheduled for next month — this will be the final check-up on his health. The allergy, which used to cause him a lot of trouble, is no longer bothering him. The course of treatment prescribed over the last month has yielded excellent results. 
      We plan to use the remaining unused funds of 14,989.94 UAH (fourteen thousand nine hundred and eighty-nine hryvnias, 94 kopecks) to meet Dima’s needs in 2026.
