During childbirth, Oleksiy suffered oxygen deprivation, which caused further health problems. At six months old, doctors suggested that he had cerebral palsy, and later this diagnosis was confirmed.

Now the boy is three years old. Every day is a day of hard work and small victories that make his future better. Oleksiy visits the Kozyavkin Rehabilitation Center several times a year and does a lot of exercises at home with his mother. 

Last year, the boy underwent rehabilitation at the Kozyavkin Clinic only twice. And in the summer, his parents saw that he was beginning to lose the skills he had acquired: his muscle tone in his legs increased, and Oleksiy stopped crawling and sitting. Only after the autumn rehabilitation course did the boy's condition stabilize. We managed to reduce the hypertonicity of his arms and legs, and he started picking up objects, playing with toys and crawling again.   

The lessons with his mother bring Oleksiy great pleasure. He diligently repeats all the exercises, confidently shows his body parts and even points when he is in pain. The boy also loves cats! Perhaps that is why the first word he learned to say was "kitty". Oleksiy is interested in everything around him! Every day he makes small discoveries, learns new words, gestures and movements. Doctors say this is a great indicator of development.

But for further development, Oleksiy needs regular rehabilitation courses without long breaks. It is very difficult for an ordinary family to pay for four courses a year on their own, especially during the war.
