A chance for a peaceful life

The troubles on the path of five-year-old Artem began when he was still a baby: at three months, a neurologist diagnosed him with “muscular dystonia syndrome,” and at 11 months, he was diagnosed with “mild muscular hypotension.” Later, at the age of three, the baby was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, speech delay, and dysmetabolic nephropathy. Diagnosis after diagnosis, a year ago the boy was diagnosed with the second degree of disability. At his very young age, the boy also managed to overcome many illnesses – he had the flu, bronchitis, a bacterial infection, and was in the hospital with urticaria.

But the family received an unspeakable blow at the end of this spring – Artem was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Among the other challenges, this one has become almost the most painful. Now the boy feels differently: there are glucose fluctuations, high acetone, and sharp jumps in sugar. Parents try to constantly monitor his condition, but it is very difficult without sensors, and due to their insane cost, it is not always possible to purchase them.

Artem is a kind, sincere and intelligent boy. He tries to speak, but at the age of five he still pronounces words very poorly. He needs constant classes, therapy and an inexhaustible resource, which, unfortunately, the parents do not always have enough. The mother is on maternity leave, constantly taking care of her son. Only the father works, and there is not enough money for the whole family - parents and two sons. Sensors, needles, tests, tapes, medicines, classes with specialists, special nutrition - all this is a very big financial burden. The necessary things cannot even always be found in pharmacies.
