Happy childhood for brave Matvii

After birth, little Matvii was admitted to the intensive care unit under a ventilator. The boy was examined by a surgeon, after which he was diagnosed with small intestinal perforation, fecal peritonitis, early neonatal sepsis, swelling of the head smear and enterocolitis. On the 5th day, the baby was operated on, the ileostomy was removed (a procedure to bring the small intestine to the surface of the skin) and he was transferred to enteral feeding. Thus, Matvii spent 3 months in the hospital.

Fortunately, he was discharged home, where he stayed for 3 months. 3 months of happiness and peace... However, the boy began to gain weight poorly, first lost his appetite, and then refused to eat, he had problems with ileostomy (a hernia). In a serious condition, Matvii was taken to OKHMATDYT again. For two weeks, the boy was prepared for a new operation to close the ileostomy, but it was unsuccessful. On the 9th day, the doctors performed another surgery, after which Matvii was able to go to the toilet on his own. For the boy's family, it was a victory, because for six months the boy had been wearing a colostomy bag. Matvii bravely withstood everything.

The boy was discharged home, where he learned to hold his head and back, and when the stitches were completely healed, a rehabilitation therapist began working with Matvii. Overall, the boy is showing good results: he has learned to crawl, walk, jump and run, and has become a cheerful and brave boy. However, the boy has a body weight deficit, so he needs to attend classes at a rehabilitation center. Matvii is a friendly boy, he likes to ride a scooter, model with clay and look at books. We believe that Matvii will have a healthy and happy life, he just needs our support.
