Lucky chance and faith

This is Danylo, he was born prematurely at 30 weeks with a tiny weight of 1.260 kg. The baby was in very serious condition: doctors gave him a minimal chance of survival and said that only a lucky chance and faith could help Danylo.

In the first days of his life, he had two blood transfusions. Danylo couldn't breathe on his own, so he was hooked up to a ventilator and spent a long time in intensive care. At three months old, Dania underwent eye surgery, and at two years old, doctors diagnosed him with cerebral palsy with impaired posture and gait, spastic tetraparesis, and delayed mental and speech development.

Dania is now 7 years old, and he can stand unsteadily with support, walk with support, holding both hands or with the help of crutches.

For further stable progress and development, and in order not to lose the skills he has already acquired, he needs regular rehabilitation courses and physiotherapy procedures.

Dania is an open and kind child, and he enjoys attending school in the preparatory class. He has friends there with whom he enjoys playing. However, he sometimes feels sad during active games because he cannot keep up with them as skillfully and energetically as they do.

"Please help our son learn to walk on his own. This rehabilitation course is another step towards achieving Danylo's biggest goal – to walk, be independent and enjoy playing with his friends," says the boy's mother, asking for support.
