To live one more day
We lived a replete life of a friendly creative family. Now we feel ourselves as living on the line of fire. Our forefront is hemodialysis, in one of the most severe hospital departments. Our rearward is home, where we only spend the nights. And even this little peace happens not so often. Here and there we need to behave as universal soldiers. Even more, no matter what, we need to be optimistic. In order to share our vital energy with Daddy. So he can simply live. He has no kidneys and his other organs are in emergency state. Dad used to work as a TV-cameraman feeding the whole family. While the diabetes progressed. And finally just in a year it took away his two kidneys and a leg.

Dad used to work as a TV-cameraman feeding the whole family. While the diabetes progressed. And finally just in a year it took away his two kidneys and a leg.
Dad's first hemodialysis was held on August 28, 2013. The day when the apparatus "artificial kidney" took the function of a living body for the first time and for the rest of our Dad’s life. This is the day when big Orthodox holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated. And also my birthday, that I had forgotten for the first time.
Two years have passed like a nightmare. Endless days and nights in hospital and intensive care, leg amputation, numerous operations... And a silent phrase in the eyes of the doctors, “We do not promise anything”. And then the one expressed, “We have people die here with such diseases, we are not Germany to help”.
But we firmly believe: life goes on. To help people with such severe diagnoses simply exist, his family just need to become a physicians themselves and constantly be around. Alas, this is not enough. That is why we ask for the help of all the good and concerned people. Our Daddy is in need of laser treatment of the dry gangrene: it is the only option to save his last leg. He also needs a prosthetics to get out of the hateful wheelchair. And drugs without which it is impossible to carry out the vital dialysis.
We believe the assistance is possible. Because we are all each others brothers and sisters in Christ. Because God himself said in the Bible, "What you did to one of these little ones – you have done to Me."
