Vova was born a true little strongman, weighing almost 4.5 kg. Vovchyk is growing up as an active and curious boy who loves active games with friends and dreams of new discoveries. When he was 4 years old, his parents discovered his diagnosis by chance – type 1 diabetes. It was hard to imagine how both the child and the whole family would live with this. Diabetes is an autoimmune disease of the pancreas, in which the body's own immune system destroys the cells that produce insulin. That is why blood glucose monitoring has become very important for Vova – his wellbeing, safety, and health depend on it.
This year Vova is eagerly awaiting a special event in his life – he is starting first grade. Along with childhood dreams and joys, monitoring his blood sugar levels becomes the most important thing of all.
The boy needs continuous glucose monitoring sensors, which help track blood sugar levels around the clock without numerous finger pricks, provide timely warnings of dangerous fluctuations, and also allow his parents to monitor his blood sugar remotely when the child is at school.
Every contribution you make is an investment in the health, safety, and happy childhood of Vovchyk, who despite his diagnosis smiles, dreams, and is preparing to take his first step into school life. Together we can make his life more comfortable and safer.
