Maksym has bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. His old hearing aids are worn out, making it difficult for him to learn, understand speech, and speak.

Because of the war, Maksym’s family lost their home in the Donetsk region and had to start over. They are unable to raise the funds on their own.

Max can count to twenty, tries to speak in sentences, and is learning the alphabet, but he has a hard time distinguishing sounds. He tries his hardest to understand what people are saying to him so he can communicate with other children.
