Curious, diligent, and extraordinarily bright, seven-year-old Arina is a creative soul. She loves drawing, dancing, dreaming, and discovering new things. This cheerful and joyful child always tries to share her sincere smile with those around her.
This spring, Arina's life and that of her parents was divided into "before" and "after." They learned of a serious diagnosis – type 1 diabetes. The illness manifested suddenly and very acutely: Arina was hospitalized in a state of ketoacidosis, with severe dehydration and a critically high blood sugar level. Her condition was consistently serious. Those were the most frightening days for the family. Thanks to the professionalism and care of the doctors, the child's condition was stabilized.
But a new trial awaited the family ahead – daily life with insulin, constant injections, and frequent finger pricks to measure glucose levels. For a young child, these are not simply medical procedures – they are pain, fear, and a constant reminder of the illness. It is very hard for Arina to accept that this is now her daily reality.
Modern technologies – an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring sensors – significantly improve the quality of life for children with diabetes. They reduce the number of pricks, allow for more precise blood sugar control, and help prevent dangerous episodes. For a child, this is not merely a convenience – it is above all safety, peaceful sleep, and the chance to live a full childhood.
Arina's parents do not have the financial means to provide their child with this essential equipment on their own. They do everything they can to support her health, but the cost of the pump and sensors is beyond their reach. That is why we are asking for support for our project, the goal of which is to purchase sensors for the girl.
Your support can give Arina the chance for a safer, more comfortable, and happier childhood. For the family, this is not simply medical equipment – it is the opportunity to protect their child from complications and give her a more peaceful life.
