Daily care for Nastia

   Anastasia, from the town of Horishni Plavni, is 14 years old. She cannot speak, walk or sit unaided. Her life consists of endless medical examinations, rehabilitation courses and the hope that tomorrow will be just a little bit better. 
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the Charitable Aid Operator Charitable Foundation ‘Pomagayem’ dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. 354 of 11 February 2026, the project ‘Daily Care for Nastya’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of raising charitable donations to cover the cost of treatment for Anastasia Khorunzhaya.
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines and special dietary products for the girl. Therefore, in accordance with letter No. 95 dated 04 March 2026, we received the collected sum of 28,295.00 UAH (twenty-eight thousand two hundred and ninety-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
      Thanks to the funds received, in March of this year we purchased and delivered medicines and special dietary food for the girl totalling 11,344.76 UAH (eleven thousand three hundred and forty-four hryvnias, 76 kopecks), and in May – totalling 7,314.80 UAH (seven thousand three hundred and fourteen hryvnias, 80 kopecks).
      At the end of April, Nastya and her mum travelled to the Lviv region for rehabilitation. The girl always shows a keen interest in new places and the surrounding nature. During one of the activities, she visited a unique place called ‘The World in Miniature’. However, getting there proved to be no easy task due to the hilly terrain and the lack of ramps, which made it difficult to get around. Despite this, the visit proved to be an interesting and educational experience for Nastya.
      During the pool sessions, Nastya managed to swim alongside her mum and the instructor, but due to the cool water temperature, these sessions had to be stopped after the fifth session. The main aim of the rehabilitation was to reduce spasticity and prevent the progression of scoliosis. 
      The centre’s psychologist noted Nastya’s high emotional sensitivity, so her mum’s presence at the sessions was essential for the therapy to proceed comfortably and achieve positive results. Her mum’s support gave the girl a sense of security and helped her maintain her emotional balance.
      In addition, thanks to a balanced diet consisting of the special ‘Fortini’ formula, Nastya gained 3 kg in weight. The use of the necessary medication had a beneficial effect on her digestion and significantly improved the quality of her sleep.
      We plan to use the remaining funds of 9,635.44 UAH (nine thousand six hundred and thirty-five hryvnias, 44 kopecks) to meet Nastya’s needs in 2026; the project is still raising funds.
