GT: Be My Eyes

Try to close your eyes right now and get into another room… It will be good for you if you do not meet with enemy adjusted interior items and at least get into the doorway… Among us, there are people for whom every exit from the house becomes such a quest. But thanks to modern smartphones, GPS navigation has become available for blind people as well. Know it well, that a smartphone is not only a device to take a selfie or make calls. People with visual impairments dream of doing their own daily business with the help of smartphones. 

You probably don't know that your smartphone has special programs that enable the phone to become an indispensable assistant and guide for people who, by the evil will of fate, were born blind or lost sight. The Internet has given access to information not only to sighted people but also to blind people: the Android operating system has settings such as TalkBack or Explore by touch, as well as Vlingo and a voice command program. Other applications like LookTel Money Reader or Color Identifier can determine colors and, what is important, currency, and program BeMyEyes helps blind people look for volunteers to help, for example, in choosing a product in a store...

We want to help those thirty-nine people who (according to information provided by Kherson UTOS) lack the financial capacity to purchase smartphones. Imagine how wonderful it will be when we complete the project and 39 blind people will feel happier and become more independent. Improve the quality of life of the blind together!
