On the evening of March 5, there were 240 people here, including 15 people with disabilities, 116 children. The next morning, 120 people were manneged to take out on an evacuation train.
We do not ask Andrey Pinchuk, head of our foundation, how it is, how scary it is to drive a bus full of women, children and people with disabilities through a city that is being shelled. Obviously scary. But it is even more terrible for them to live in basements and listen to explosions. They are being taken to the quiet village of Volosskoe near the Dnipro, where not a single house has been damaged yet by a Russian missile.
Ukraine is on fire. On February 24, the Russian army attacked our country throughout its territory. Shells fly to all major cities of Ukraine, but the Dnipro is still one of the quiet places.
In 2014, in a school in the village of Volosskoe near the Dnipro, the "Pomogaem" Foundation organized a Center for IDPs. More than 700 people passed through it during the summer. On February 26, 2022, together with the Novoaleksandrovsky Village Council, we again launched its work. Now it is a temporary shelter for IDPs with children and people with disabilities. Manages the operation of the shelter, as before, Andrey Pinchuk.
Families with children and people with disabilities can stay up to 5 days. Catering, psychological and medical assistance, animators for children have been organized. We help with information: search for further routes and destinations for evacuation.
We really need your help:
- financial: in the framework of this project we raise funds for food (in the shelter we prepare food and give food to people on the road) and personal hygiene products for the least 500 residents of our shelter,
- volunteer: call Galina +38 (097) 922 17 67 and let us know if you are ready to help or share useful contacts and important food information.
We have a hospitable Novoaleksandrovskaya community and Volosskaya school. We have over fifty folding beds. We have people in Dnipro and the region who are ready to help, a huge human resource. We are ready, as far as possible, to support people who are in trouble
We are together and we will win. Glory to Ukraine!
