For every child, an ordinary pencil is a key to the world of knowledge. It may seem like just a wooden stick, but it helps bring imagination to life on paper. It is a tool that helps build their own worldview. Every bright color, every notebook, every pen is a symbol of the opportunities that should be available to every child.

At our Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children in Kyiv, 12 children have found shelter and support. These are kids who, due to life circumstances, have lost their footing and parental care, and who have, at times, lived on the margins of a safe and happy life. Our mission is to provide them with a safe home and help them overcome the painful experiences of their past. And the most important part of this journey is education.

Every activity, whether it's a school lesson, art therapy, or doing homework, requires simple but essential items. Quality school supplies help our children feel equal to their peers at school, having the same set of notebooks and pens. It allows them to express their emotions through drawing when words are hard to find. It helps them develop fine motor skills, attention, and perseverance. It lets them see the result of their work - from the very first carefully drawn letter to writing their first essay.

We are asking for your help in providing 12 of our children with everything they need for the school year: complete sets of notebooks, pens, pencils, paints, paper, scissors, and other school supplies, as well as paying for the monthly work of a social educator who works with the children. Your help is a concrete step that will give these children the opportunity to learn, create, and develop with joy.
