School bags for needy children

During the three summer months, June, July and August, the staff of the Caritas SDE UGCC Charitable Foundation worked tirelessly to organize a charity event "School Bag" to help families in need to prepare their children for school. We delivered dozens of letters of request, made dozens of telephone conversations, set up donation boxes, and conducted a continuous PR campaign on social networks. Our partners and philanthropists joined the organization of the action. We also turned for support to our permanent partners - the Ukrainian Charity Exchange. Thanks to the project published on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, we managed to raise UAH 6,182.72.
We are pleased to announce that this year's "School Briefcase" campaign was very successful. We were able to provide school portfolios to 260 children from crisis and low-income families. Thanks to donations collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, 10 school portfolios were purchased and transferred. We received the rest of our backpacks and offices thanks to local fundraising campaigns and donations from our partners and philanthropists.
The celebration of the presentation of school briefcases took place in the premises of the Caritas SDE UGCC Charitable Foundation, at the address: Drohobych, 4 Chornovola Street. The children were invited to the celebration together with their parents.
On behalf of our students and their parents, we truly thank our Ukrainian Charity Exchange for their help in raising funds for the purchase of school bags. With your help, we have been able to provide families in need not only materially, but even more importantly emotional and moral support, which will serve them as a good resource in their future lives.
