Let's teach children of the Heroes!

Support the educational project and give children the best education!

The Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation, GoITeens, an online IT academy for children and teenagers, and the dobro.ua charity platform have joined forces for a common goal of providing 3000 children with digital education. 

The Children of Heroes Foundation provides support to children who lost one or both parents as a result of the Russian attack on Ukraine. Instead of a cloudless childhood, these children have experienced the loss of their closest people and continue to live in war. But they do not give up: they continue to dream, want to develop and pursue their hobbies. 

Unfortunately, not all of them can afford it - 66% of the families under the Foundation's care are in a difficult financial situation. Therefore, these children often do not have the opportunity to attend additional courses or clubs that they dream of.

But we all dream of their dreams. Therefore, the joint mission of this project is to give these children a chance to acquire new skills and unleash their potential in the field of IT. After all, this is an opportunity for children to become successful and start a career before entering university, expand their knowledge and skills, and find new friends and interests. 

Our partner, the GoITeens online academy, specializes in IT education for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17. For more than 8 years of its existence, more than 36 thousand children have received knowledge here. And one of them is our ward Yaroslav Kostushevych.

For six months now, 14-year-old Yaroslav has been studying at GoITeens on the GameDev course, which is a computer game developer. Yaroslav is from the Luhansk region and is going through the war for the second time. During the occupation of Bucha, his stepfather was killed, and later his own father died. The boy stayed with his mother. Yaroslav needs special care to cope with his congenital disease. Despite all these terrible circumstances, Yaroslav loves programming, so he invests all his time and energy in this hobby. For the New Year, one of the donors of the Children of Heroes Foundation presented Yaroslav with a tablet - imagine his joy. He dreams of becoming successful to develop his country. And we are helping to realize his dream.

To make sure that this story is not an exception, we are launching a fundraising campaign to raise UAH 35 million. This is the amount that will provide 3000 children under our care with quality education. One of them is Daria Dovgoshey, 12 years old and from Odesa region. The girl's father was tragically killed in the Kherson sector during a combat mission. 

Nevertheless, Dasha did not give up, and has already completed her studies at Dovzhenko Film Studio and received a certificate in filming and editing. The girl was very enthusiastic about studying this subject - her work received positive feedback from her teachers. Dasha dreams of continuing her studies and is now waiting to enroll in an IT course in digital design to acquire skills useful in her chosen field.

There are still many talented and capable children under the Foundation's care who dream of studying but cannot afford to pay for the courses - we will tell these stories during the collection. Together we can help these children get closer to their dreams.
